Peyronie's disease (Induratio Penis Plastica - IPP)
In addition to treatment for erectile dysfunction, Piezowave² is also suitable for the treatment of Peyronie's disease.It is a hard scar under the skin of the penis, which causes pain and also can result in a bent, rather than straight, erect penis.
The cause is the injury of the erectile tissue and the subsequent abnormal local healing process, which results in the formation of a scar. No treatment is yet known to cure this disease, but in the case of low-energy focused shock waves directly to the scar (which can be achieved only through a special Piezowave² probe with 0-5 mm focus penetration) the scar can be gradually softened and thus symptoms relieved or eliminated.
Treatment of Peyronie's disease (IPP - Induratio Penis Plastica): Initially 4 treatment sessions, one weekly - if a beneficial effect occurs, then a shock wave can be applied up to 10 times.
